Our boutique hotel, located in the heart of Avalon and just steps away from the water’s edge, front street shopping, tours and restaurants, features two spacious Oceanfront Suites and six well-appointed interior faced rooms. Each room and suite features complimentary wireless internet, Beautyrest Black® plush beds, flat screen TVs, AppleTV streaming, Keurig k-cup coffee makers, air conditioning/heat and luxurious down comforters. Our suites provide guests with custom built mini bars and indoor sitting porches that overlook picturesque Avalon Bay.

The Edgewater is situated on the second floor of a historic oceanfront property and it is 28 steps to the top. You will need to be able to climb stairs with your luggage. If you would be more comfortable with a one level hotel, we recommend you reach out to the Chamber of Commerce at 310.510.1520 to find out about neighboring properties.

Q: What does keyless mean?
A: Our property no longer gives keys to access guest rooms. Once booked, you will be provided a unique pin code to access the downstairs front door and your guest room. This means you can check yourself in from 3PM onwards, when your unique pin code automatically activates.
Q: Do you accept pets?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets. Please contact the Catalina Chamber of Commerce at 310.510.1520 for a complete list of hotels that accept pets.
Q: How do I get to The Edgewater?
A: We are a quick 10 minute walk from the Avalon Boat Terminal. See our map on the Map & Directions page.
Q: How do I find The Edgewater?
A: We are located above the Catalina Souvenir Shop and Weezie's. The Edgewater is just past the Green Pleasure Pier.

Q: Do you have baby equipment onsite?

Q: Celebrating a special birthday or wedding anniversary?

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: A credit card number is required to confirm your reservation which is non refundable 7 days prior to the date of arrival. Your credit card will be charged 7-14 days before arrival.
Q: How old do you need to be to rent a hotel room?
A: You can be any age to stay at our property but must be accompanied by someone 21 years of age or older with valid identification. Minor children are not able to rent or occupy a hotel room unaccompanied by a parent or guardian.
Q: When are reservations charged on my credit card?
A: Reservations are authorized up to 14 days before your stay and may appear as a "hold" or "pending" on your credit card statement. Funds will be charged upon check-in. Any additional charges or damage will be added to your card upon check-out.
Q: When is Check-in/Check-out?
A: Check-in time is at 3:00PM and check-out is at 11:00AM. Each guest will have their own pin code that activates at 3PM the day of arrival and deactivates at 11AM the morning of departure. Checking in will be contactless so everyone can access the property when their unique code is activated from 3PM onward.
Q: Can you store our luggage?
A: Due to limited storage facilities, we are no longer holding luggage on site. Avalon Blue Line Baggage is located at the boat terminal and can hold any baggage before check-in and after check-out. Arrangements can be made by calling them at 310-510-9599.
Q: Do rates include continental breakfast?
A: While our rates do not include breakfast, we are conveniently located next to several breakfast spots. We recommend the Brew House and Donut Shop for something quick. For more of a sit down stop at the Sandtrap, Jack's or Pancake Cottage!
